LOCATIONS: USA – Dallas, TX / Seattle, WA / Arlington, VA
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time. (This role is HYBRID. It is home based for 2 days per week and you must be willing to commute 3 days per week to an Amazon corporate office.)
BASE PAY RANGE: Base pay range $125,000.00/yr – $135,000.00/yr (This range is provided by FESTIVE ROAD. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.)

This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone, who can take complete ownership for building an internal communications strategy for a fast-paced team and drive it to completion. This would include building out a communications schedule, building out materials and using innovative formats and channels to engage internal stakeholders.

At a strategic level, the Internal Comms and Engagement Manager will work as part of the Travel Experience and Engagement Team to build out a strategy that aligns to overall team goals. However, they will then be responsible for driving that plan forward by delivering effective change management strategies, building stakeholder relationships and looking for opportunities to create operational efficiencies. This is an individual contributor role requiring the successful candidate to take the lead and have accountability for the success of their strategy.

Key Tasks will Include:

  • Strategic Planning – develop and execute an internal communications strategy that engages and inspires audiences in support of change management initiatives.
  • Develop Content – manage and develop content for new hires and other customer groups, including communications and training initiatives, that drive program awareness and adoption. Partner cross-functionally to create content for quarterly or monthly all hands, team announcements, organizational newsletter and company intranet featured articles, and other team communications.
  • Create Operational Efficiencies – develop and launch new processes for operational efficiency and optimal engagement.
  • Business Partnering– build and maintain strong internal relationships to get a deep understanding of requirements.
  • Business Reporting – coordinate data-driven approaches to understand communication effectiveness across the internal and cross-functional stakeholders. Routinely measure and report out to leadership regarding the impact of the internal communication strategy.

  • A natural leader – with an ability to build a compelling strategy and execute drive it forward. Strong strategy and organizational skills with a capacity to prioritize within a complex, fast-paced environment.
  • An Exceptional Communicator – exceptional verbal and written communications skills with an ability to simplify business requirements and complex messages, creating clear, relevant, and consumable content for diverse audiences within brand guidelines.
  • A drive to optimize – experienced at establishing new ways of working by implementing either new processes, tools, or technologies to ensure optimal information flow and engagement.
  • Intellectual Curiosity – a strong data-driven mind-set with an ability to analyze audience feedback and sentiment through feedback mechanisms.
  • Supplier Management – experience managing external agency relationships and other support vendors.
  • A calm operator – able to keep a cool head and prioritize while working in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.

Experience Required:

  • Hands-on experience with email distribution, virtual meetings, team collaboration and project management tools such as Hubspot, Staffbase, Miro, Visio, or Asana.
  • Experience delivering an enterprise-wide service supporting multiple functions on a large scale.
  • Working knowledge of the priorities and working tasks of a fast-paced global travel team.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the travel and meeting industry ecosystem, how the travel industry operates and its unique characteristics and systems.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • 5+ years of experience with a large travel program management required.

Other Requirements:

  • This role needs to go into an office 3 x per week.
  • Potential for up to 10% travel.
