PRESS RELEASE
TRANSPARENCY TOPS INDUSTRY WISH LIST
Consultancy Highlights Industry Need and Appoints Leading Travel Buyers in UK & Germany
London, Monday 18th September 2017: Festive Road, the world’s leading travel and meetings engagement consultancy, has announced the appointment of a number of top industry buyers in light of the increasing needs of the buyer and supplier community for engagement support.
The company has cited the need for consultancy across key industry issues, derived from the polling of visitors to its stand during the GBTA Convention in July.
Topping the wish list for change from buyers at the event was a greater need for transparency in business relationships, closely followed by a desire to change the RFP process, improve stakeholder engagement and better develop the role of the TMC.
As Festive Road provides consultancy to both suppliers and buyers, it also polled the supplier community and found that, interestingly, transparency also topped the list of desire to change, followed by greater digital capability and improved distribution and content.
Talking about these challenges, managing partner Caroline Strachan, said, ”We have increasingly seen a need for greater transparency and a desire to change the legacy systems and processes of travel management globally. These results reinforce the need for a consultancy that works across the eco-system. Our three new Festive Roaders epitomize buyer excellence and have championed change in their work to date.”
Joining the business are two travel buyers from the UK and the consultancy’s first in Germany.
- Louise Kilgannon has joined from her previous role as Director of Business Travel Outsourcing at American Express GBT. Prior to this she was the Global Travel Lead at AstraZeneca and the EMEA Travel Manager for Infor.
- Abi Cummings has also joined from American Express GBT where she was EMEA Service Excellence Manager prior to becoming Global Project Manager and Tech support. She spent 15 years in travel management as part of the Astra Zeneca and Johnson & Johnson teams.
- Yvonne Moya joins on 1st October fresh from her role as Director of Global Travel, Events and Fleet for Unilever prior to which she procured and managed travel for IBM and T-Systems. Ms Moya is also an ACTE EMEA Council member, a Global Advisory Board member and the Chair for ACTE in Germany. She will lead Festive Road’s development in Germany.
The appointments expands the FESTIVE ROAD operation to Sweden, Germany, France and the UK in Europe and on the east & west coasts of the United States.
