FESTIVE ROAD supports <Trave/Scrum> Ideation Hackathon 2020
It is often said that in times of crisis, when we are faced with disaster, the need to think differently kicks in and innovation flourishes.
With that in mind, we figured that one area of focus missing from our Permissible Travel Framework was how we could go about encouraging innovation and startups to help us better prepare for the return of travel.
So FESTIVE ROAD, represented by our very own tech geek/digital nomad/slash generation Roader Aurélie Krau and our idea connector/status quo challenger/wellbeing advocate Roader Katie Virtue, were delighted to accept the offer to support <Trave/Scrum> , a global not-for-profit movement created to light the path to a better tomorrow of travel. Aurélie is taking the lead role in EMEA region and Katie is part of the operations team for the Americas.
The first initiative of the movement is a global ideation travel hackathon that will be held online from June 11th to June 14th. The event is aimed at providing a platform to talented people to showcase their ideas to improve the world of travel of tomorrow.
Participants are expected to deliver innovative, implementable and impactful projects for the industry, spread across three challenges:
- Health & Hygiene
- Travel & Experiences
- Sustainability & Relief
Our role is to support the ideation hackathon process across EMEA and the Americas. In order to nurture the next big conversation in travel, we will deliver a workshop on the Permissible Travel Framework amongst other things, but we are also encouraging people from the business travel sector to:
- Provide your API – if you have content you would like to make available to developers
- Become an advocate/supporter to support the effort and contribute to the positive outcomes of the innovations created -by providing In-Kind, perks or financial support.
- Become a business travel mentor – would you wish to advise participating teams? Apply here
- #jointhescrum as a participant – Tech and business profiles welcome! Register here
